IMS Field Engineer

IMS is a growing ICT organization providing technology (hardware, software, and services) as a service in Ireland, the UK and across the EU. The technology and services we provide include broadband, wi-fi, IPTV, casting, IP telephone, AV, video conferencing and consultancy. The industries we service include hospitality, education, health, and telecoms. We are currently looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer for the IMS Engineering department.

The applicant will be joining a highly skilled team of engineers who take amazing pride in their work and whose values represent the core principles of IMS.

This vacancy is a full-time permanent position. Roles and responsibilities:

  • The position involves the installation of commissioning of the IMS product range with a key focus on quality and consistency of accomplished works.
  • Onsite system installations include but are not limited to:
  • WiFi, IPTV, AV, CCTV, Digital Signage, Access Control, IP Telephony etc.
  • Support and maintenance of IMS systems across all client properties.
  • Work collaboratively with IMS colleagues in surveying, designing, and delivering network installations.
  • Compliance with utilising IMS ticketing, documentation, and communication platforms.
  • Always represent the IMS brand with utmost professionalism and ensure the highest of respect is displayed to both customers and colleagues alike.


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and complete job related documentation.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction is essential.
  • Full clean driving licence is essential.
  • SAFEPASS, manual handling and working at heights (ladder) certification is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the electrical, security or networking sectors.
  • Applicant must be willing to travel, and overnight stays are sometimes required relative to project work.



  • Office 365 experience and knowledge.
  • Familiarity working with ticketing CRM platforms.
